Nagaland: 100 people violated the lock down orders, 27 arrested, one vehicle seized

Kohima, March 28 (NE): The Principal Secretary to the Government of Nagaland, Abhijit Sinha, IAS, on March 27, 2020, issued the district wise Report on COVID-19 Law and order and facilitation of essential Goods and services Manufacturing, Distribution and E- commerce of Nagaland.

The district report stated that in Nagaland a total number of 100 people violated the lock down/curfew orders. It is also reported that three persons were bound under U/S 106/107/CrPc and 27 people were arrested, one vehicle seized and one case of FIR registered. No incidents of Law & Order problem have been reported, said the notification from DIPR.

Abhijit said that control room to monitor essential supplies was setup in all the districts, shops for food grains and groceries are open in all the districts.

Shops for milk are also open in all the districts except Peren, Mon, Phek, Kiphire. Medicine shops in the districts are open and there is no report of any shortage of food grains, groceries, milk and medicine in the state, he added.

On essential services, manufacturing distribution & E-commerce has reported that in Dimapur District, suitable arrangement have been made for providing food and shelter to migrant workers affected by COVID-19 restriction. In Dimapur Bengali Samaj, Sikh Community distributed food packets. Permits have also been issued to Commercial Vehicles for transportation of essential commodities in Dimapur, he added.
