Naga boy Vilasier Khate wins 5th Indo Bhutan Friendship Tennis Tournament

Vilasier Khate wins singles and Doubles titles of the 5th India Bhutan Friendship Tennis Tournament

Vilasier Khate from Nagaland won both the Singles and Doubles titles of the 5th Indo-Bhutan Friendship Tennis Tournament which was held at Thimpu, Bhutan between 2nd July -7th July, 2019.

In singles, Vilasier defeated Ivan Islanovic from Russia by a score of 7-6, 6-3.

In Doubles, Vilasier and his partner Tshering Tobgay who is from Bhutan won the title by a score of 6-2, 6-2.

75 participants from Bhutan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Russia took part in the tournament. It is organised by Bhutan Tennis Federation supported by India-Bhutan Foundation.

Cheif Minister Neiphiu Rio in his tweet congratulate Vilasier Khate from Nagaland, on winning both the Singles and Doubles titles of the 5th India-Bhutan Friendship Tennis Tournament at Thimpu.
