Vilasier Khate from Nagaland won both the Singles and Doubles titles of the 5th Indo-Bhutan Friendship Tennis Tournament which was held at Thimpu, Bhutan between 2nd July -7th July, 2019.
In singles, Vilasier defeated Ivan Islanovic from Russia by a score of 7-6, 6-3.
In Doubles, Vilasier and his partner Tshering Tobgay who is from Bhutan won the title by a score of 6-2, 6-2.
75 participants from Bhutan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal and Russia took part in the tournament. It is organised by Bhutan Tennis Federation supported by India-Bhutan Foundation.
