Muslims in Nagaland celebrated Eid-al-Adha with rest of the world

Dimapur, August 12: Eid Al-Adha or simply known as Eid celebrated with rest of the world in Nagaland.

According to an estimation, around twenty thousand people both young and adults from different places joined for namaz in Dimapur. People converged at idgah ground near DDSC stadium, Dimapur. Approximately forty ox and goats were sacrificed, according to reliable sources.

In the state capital, thousands of Muslims assembled at Kohima Local Ground to perform special namaz led by peshemam Moulana Bilal Ahmed Choudhury.

Nagaland Governor RN Ravi and Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Eid Al-Adha on Monday.

In his message, Governor RN Ravi hoped that the auspicious occasion will strengthen social harmony and bonds of human brotherhood in the spirit of a composite society.

Chief minister Neiphiu Rio in his tweet extended greetings to all those celebrating Eid and wished them a joyous celebration filled with love and peace.
