Mount Everest Fashion Runway -World’s Highest Altitude Fashion Runway flags off today: Few participants from Nagaland

Dimapur, January 16 (NE): The flag off event of “The Mt. Everest Fashion Runway” held today, January 16 at Domestic Terminal, Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal. The team has headed off to Lukla to start their trek to the Everest Base Camp.

The Mt. Everest Fashion Runway will be held at Kala Patthar, a UNESCO’s World Heritage Site, on the 4th week of January, 2020. This show will set the Guinness World Record for “The Highest Altitude Fashion Runway”.

In a notification by Livingstone Foundation International (LFI), which is a supporting partner of the event said that from Nagaland, Shri Andrew Ahoto along with a student and others are participating in the event.

Around Fifteen international models from different parts of the world will trek for 14 days to walk on the highest ramp of the world.

The organizer said that Mount Everest Base Camp was chosen as a venue to draw the attention of the world to save nature and mountains from non-biodegradable fashion products and items.

According to the organizers, the show will also be focused to increase the use of ‘felt’ (handmade fabric in Nepal) in the world fashion industry.
