Kohima, December 10 (NEx): The Sakhi-One Stop Centre & Mahila Shakti Kendra organized a Motor Cycle rally in collaboration with Frontier Royal Enfield En-Blok (FREE) club as an awareness campaign for violence against women at Parade Ground Tuensang on December 10, 2020.

The rally was organized under the theme “Leave no one behind, end violence against women and girls”, which was flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner of Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS, a report by DIPR said.

The DC said whether we like it or not, violence does exist in human society and spreading messages against the violence done is very important. He encouraged the club members to spread the message everywhere they go.

The District Administrator, Sakhi One Stop Centre, Chulongla also said that domestic violence should be taken as a crime and not as normal family problems. She also said that to end violence against women, it should start at home and should be protected. Spreading the message to end the violence should keep spreading, she added.
