Total Lockdown extended in Mon district till July 12, 3 more frontline workers in Mon district tested positive for COVID-19

Mon, July 04 (NEx): Total lockdown in Mon district extended for one more week, till July 12, 2020, informed Minister of Transport, Civil Aviation, Railways, and Land Resources, also Mon district incharge for COVID-19, Shri. P Paiwang Konyak.

Three more frontline workers in Mon district tested positive for COVID-19 in their second test. With this new cases, total number of frontline workers tested positive for COVID-19 in Mon district increased to 12.

Minister Paiwang Konyak on Friday held a meeting with District Administration and Police personnel at DC conference hall, Mon to take stock of the prevailing situation in the district. Number of containment zones have increased in the district following the new positive cases among the frontline workers.

This is the second time of total lockdown being extended in the district. Earlier, the lockdown was imposed from June 25 to 28, 2020 which got extended for a week till July 05, 2020.

Nagaland has reported 334 active COVID-19 positive cases as on 9:30 am today, out of which, 41 patients are from Mon district.
