Minister Tongpang Ozukum tours Angetyongpang to take stock of Covid-19 preparedness

Kohima, June 09 (NEx): The tour of the Minister for PWD (Mechanical and Housing) and chairman, Mokokchung DPDB, to the Health centres in Angetyongpang Assembly Constituency, to take stock of preparedness on COVID-19, culminated on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021.

The Minister visited all the health and wellness centres, sub-centres and interacted with the staffs to take stock of the preparedness for Covid-19 pandemic. He also interacted with the respective task force team of all villages and town units and distributed essential instruments and commodities to assist the task force in their fight against the pandemic.

Further, the Minister visited the ongoing construction of EAC residence Chuchuyimlang town and exuded satisfaction with the works done by the contractor though there was delay in funding and hoped that the concern department will look into the matters so that the construction will finish on time.

Earlier, the Minister visited the PSA oxygen plant at IMDH on June 6th, 2021, and then visited and inspected some locations near Mokokchung town as austerity measures in relation to COVID-19 preparedness in the district. He also attended the Mokokchung District Task Force COVID-19 meeting held on June 7th, 2021 in the capacity of DPDB Chairman and assured all possible help to the district task force from funds made available under DPDB Common Pool.
