Dimapur, October 28, (NE): In a notification for public consumption, the Indian Railway authority has issued a notification owing to sudden down pour of rain and flooding the railway tracks, that it has diverted/cancelled/ short terminated trains including the popular trains like Jan Shataabdi among others.
Due to heavy rain and Resultant rise in water level in areas between Bokajan and Chongajan stations in Lumding – Furketing, single line section under Lumding division of NFR, train running have been affected since yesterday. As a result many trains have been diverted, short terminated or cancelled.
The raining and the flooding is unprecedented in such times like this. But quite surprised as a reporter who has been seeing the development since yesterday and it is awkward to even think of many passengers who are said to be from Dimapur, which represents Nagaland state including nearby districts of Assam and also Manipur as well as some neighboring districts of Arunachal Pradesh in North East India for both long & short distance travels.
