KVK, NU Zunheboto Conducts Poultry Input Distribution Programme

Kohima, October 12 (NEx): Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Zunheboto, Nagaland University conducted input distribution programme at Zhaphumi village on October 11, 2020 under Akuluto Block of Zunheboto district.

The programme was sponsored by ASCI, wherein the farmers have been provided training under the theme “Small Poultry Farming” and demonstration on poultry farming.

In line with the theme of the programme, KVK provided with the necessary training programme and also provided chicks, feeds and poultry equipment so that the farmers can acquire the required skills of raising poultry and marketing for their socio-economic development.

Sr. Scientist and Head KVK, Zunheboto Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia who is also the co-ordinator of the programme stressed on the need of development of required skill and asked the farmers to continue with the programme in future so that they can be self reliant.

A total of 21 farmers were benefitted under the programme. The chairman of the village Mr. Kinto thanked the team of KVK which consisted of Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia Sr. Scientist and Head, Mr. Wapangtoshi Longkumer ACTO Plant protection, Mr. Medongullie and Mr. Khriengullie for providing the required inputs .
