Kohima, July 10 (NEx): The Deputy Commissioner of Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS on Thursday, lifted the containment zone at Upper PWD Colony, Municipal Ward No. 11 as the contact tracing of the COVID-19 positive person was completed and tested.
Earlier, one frontline worker, a staff at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima, residing at Upper PWD Colony was tested positive for COVID-19 on June 25, 2020. Following which the area was sealed and demarcated as Containment Zone for contact tracing.
DC Kohima stated that, accordingly, contact tracing of the COVID-19 positive person was carried out and all the primary and secondary contacts were identified and tested for COVID-19 and found to be COVID negative, stated a report from DIPR.
As per the guidelines of the Medical Department and since all contact tracing is completed and tested, Deputy Commissioner Kohima issued an order to lift the Containment Zone and declared that all normal activities at Upper PWD Colony Kohima, Municipal Ward No. 11 is allowed to resume henceforth, in compliance with various SOPs of the Government which is still enforced.
This Order shall come into force with immediate effect, notified the DC Kohima.
