Kohima police arrests one person with illegal drugs

Kohima, October 13 (NEx): Kohima police, while conducting search at Mobile Vehicle Checking Post (MVCP) at Peducha, intercepted a vehicle with 645 bottles of illegal drugs on Monday. One person arrested.

The Highway Patrolling Team of Kohima Police on Monday, October 12, 2020 at around 21:30 hours, intercepted one unregistered white Gypsy while conducting MVCP at Peducha and detected 654 (six hundred fifty four) bottles of illegal codeine cough syrup.

In this connection, one person namely Lichithung Kithan, S/o. Yankho Kithan, Village-Yikhum, Present Address: Etsutchukha Colony, Wokha, was arrested and the illegal drugs along with the vehicle have been seized, Kohima police said in a notification.

Accordingly, a case has been registered at Sechü (Zubza) Police Station under relevant sections of NDPS Act for further investigation, it added.
