Kohima, February 15 (NEx): Kohima Police arrested a 24-year old man for duping people with promise of jobs in police department.
The Kohima Police on Monday informed that, one person identified as Ravozo Medeo, 24 yrs, presently residing at Mission Compound, Kohima had been arrested for duping people with promise of jobs in police department.
Preliminary, investigation has revealed that the accused person had issued fake appointment letters with forged signatures of certain high ranking officer at Police Headquarters(PHQ) and that of the Superintendent of Police of a district, it said.
In this connection, a case has been registered at North Police Station Kohima and further investigation is being conducted, the police informed.
Further, Kohima Police appealed to the citizens to be cautious of such fraud and to report such cases to Police for initiating necessary criminal proceedings.
