Kohima, May 27 (NEx): The Kohima District Task Force(DTF) led by Minister in-charge of Kohima Shri Tongpang Ozukum along with a host of medical officials, district administration and NGOs visited Sechu Zubza on May 27th, 2021.
The Minister in-charge thanked the Sechu-Zubza Sub-Divisional Block Level Task Force for the prompt action in identifying and arranging the Covid Care Centre (CCC) as entrusted in the last Kohima District Task Force meeting. He also thanked the Don Bosco School authority on behalf of the government as well as the Kohima DTF for coming forward and providing the school building to be used as Covid Care Centre (CCC) for the people of Western Angami area, covering fourteen (14) villages.
“These are extraordinary times and therefore extraordinary services and commitment are expected from everyone and what the Don Bosco School authorities have done is something exemplary and extraordinary”, the minister remarked.
Ozukum also directed the Sechu-Zubza Sub-Divisional Block Level Task Force to immediately start working on war footing for preparation of both Don Bosco CCC and Sechu Government High School building, which will be utilised as the quarantine center for healthcare workers.
While appreciating the decision of the power department to provide uninterrupted power supply in all the Covid Hospitals and Covid Care Centers, the minister also appealed the department to cover these two facilities and work hand in hand with the Sub-Divisional Block Level Task Force of Sechu-Zubza to accomplish the work at the earliest.
Further, the Minister acknowledged the dedicated and unwavering service of Dr.Vezokholu Theyo, CMO Kohima and her team from day one till date and stated that their selfless and committed service was truly commendable, which sets as an example to all, particularly during this pandemic time.
The Minister then thanked the cooperation and support of the civil society organizations and churches of Western Angami area led by Western Angami Public Organization during this trying times and appealed for their continued support in the fight against the pandemic.
Taking part in the inspection, Advisor Medo Yhokha, conveyed his heartfelt gratitude and thanked the Don Bosco School authority, WAPO and the local community for making such magnanimous contribution towards the collective fight over the pandemic.
He appealed the School authority and Public Organization to give provisions open at the COVID Care Centre of Sechu Zubza, once it becomes operational and functional, in order to accommodate affected patients from other areas.
The Advisor assured all possible help to the community Covid Care Center and funds made available under DPDB Common Pool to be earmarked accordingly, in order to assist and facilitate the health care systems on priority, which is deemed paramount for humanity, particularly in such trying and challenging times.
During the inspection, the PWD Minister was accompanied by Advisor Dr. Nicky Kire; Advisor Medo Yhokha; MLA K. Nakro; Dr. Vezokholu Theyo, CMO Kohima; Khreingulie Kuotsu, Sechu Zubza Village Council Chairman, district adminstration; WAPO and SZYO members.
