Kohima: Commissioner's office sealed for 48 hours after report of a COVID-19 case

Kohima, July 08 (NEx): One person who works at the canteen of the Office of Commissioner, Nagaland, reported to be tested positive for COVID-19 in Kohima.

The Deputy Commissioner and chairman DTF, DDMA Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS reported the incident to the Chief Secretary on July seven, mentioning that a COVID-19 positive case was detected at Daklane colony, Kohima Municipal Ward-7, and the positive person works at the canteen of the Commissioner’s Office, Nagaland.

Following which, the office of the Commissioner has been sealed for 48 hours as per SOP, he stated.

The District Task Force after an emergency meeting, activated relevant line departments as per the Incident Response System (IRS) and the containment zone has been mapped, DC Kohima reported.

Necessary condoning of the area/colony has also been made in the proximity of the epicentre, he said.
