Kohima, October 17 (NEx): Kohima Smart City is amongst the two (2) North-East Cities to qualify for Stage 2 of the India Smart Cities Award Contest 2020.
A press release from the CEO, Kohima Smart City Development Limited Nagaland Shri Kovi Meyase said that a mandatory task set by the MoHUA for all the 100 Smart Cities, Kohima is amongst the only two North East cities along with Agartala to have qualified in the Top 66 Cities selected for the second stage of the contest.
With this feat, the KSCDL is hopeful that our city will continue to move towards making Kohima a more liveable city and achieving further Sustainable Development Goals .
India Smart Cities Award Contest was launched by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs on August 25, 2020 to evaluate cities on their performances and achievements of project proposals and innovations. The Competition aims to reward cities, projects and ideas promoting the spirit of Smart Cities Mission under the theme “Building Cities for People”.
