Dimapur, July 17 (NEx): Reliance Jio in its commitment to provide quality services to its customers across all the States in India, has been maintaining special focus on North Eastern States including the State of Nagaland despite the topographical challenges, informed an official source to NagalandExpress.
Despite various conditions prevailing here at Nagaland, it has been endeavouring to provide seamless network coverage in the State and to place Nagaland prominently in the ‘Digital India’ road map.
But due to natural phenomena like heavy rains, landslides, etc. and also the different physical developmental activities like road expansion, which are being carried out in different patches / locations, sometimes Fibre connectivity gets disturbed resulting to network issues temporarily.
But Jio teams are fully engaged to address such incidents for immediate restoration and for routing the channels or adopting other available technical solutions, wherever possible, in order to avoid customer inconvenience at any point of time.
Recently, due to highway expansion, some fibre cuts happened time and again. Fiber cuts also happen due to hill cutting and dumping activity in Wokha – Botsa patch and in Mokokchung – Chantongya patches, due to multiple fiber cuts from Chantongya caused by Landslide and highway expansion related soil dumping work.
The ongoing expansion work and related Hill blasting activities is causing damages of temporary aerial cable which is laid through the valley side across the active expansion areas. Also, frequent landslides are happening at blasting zones on the Wokha – Botsa and Mokokchung – Chantongya spans.
Jio Team is working to restore it in Mokokchung by mid August and in Wokha and Tuensang by the end of August, according to a reliable sources. Meanwhile, in Peren, Jio is planning for a new site to improve the network connectivity, it added.
