The Trained Nurses Association of India, Kohima Branch today (10th May 2019) celebrated International Nurses Day under the theme “A Voice to lead-health for all”, at Naga Hospital Authority Kohima.
Speaking as the special guest, Joint Director Nursing Department of Health and Family Welfare, Ch. Henia said it is the combined effort of a good nursing care and medicine that cures a disease and not medicine alone. Stating that Nursing’s practice requires both knowledge and skills, Henia urged them to bring a change in their work culture, have positive attitude and a will from within as well as respect for others.
Meanwhile, speaking on the theme, Deputy Director Nursing, Shetoni said health for all means a complete state of physical and mental health for a person to lead a socially and economically productive life.
Dimapur unit also celebrated the International Nurses Day at District Hospital Dimapur (DHD). Speaking on the theme, Principal, School of Nursing, DHD, Neipievo-ü said that as the largest health profession across the world, nursing has vast potential and if appropriately harnessed it can achieve the vision of health for all.
