Dimapur, October 25 (NE): Infinity Inc. a music label based in Dimapur successfully organised a DJ Workshop with renowned DJ from France, DJ Hamma as resource person on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at the Infinity Studio and DJ Academy in the commercial hub. The event was powered by Task Force for Music and Arts (TaFMA).
As the DJ movement in the state is still relatively new, the CEO of Infinity Inc. Asalie Peseyie stated that it was an encouraging sign to see young people come and attend the free workshop organised by the music label.
DJ Hamma, a Tunisian by birth and a resident of France started his career in 2010 and entered various competitions in 2012. By 2018, he was the France champion and world finalist in the Red Bull 3Style, the world’s largest DJ competition.
Apart from teaching the different technical aspects of deejaying during the masterclass, Hamma also shared his story of how he started playing in small stages in front of a handful of people to playing at sold out shows.
Hamma further emphasised on how deejaying is a worldwide culture and how one must contribute to it positively. He also reiterated the need of constant practice while keeping in mind that hard work and dedication is the key to success. The French DJ also gave a live demonstration of his skills on the turn tables and engaged with the participants as the workshop progressed.
An interactive session was also held where participants asked questions and Hammas advice on topics related to deejaying.
