Imd Predicts Isolated Heavy Rainfall Over Nagaland

Kohima, June 07 (NEx): The Indian Meteorological Department informed that Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura on June 7th, over Arunachal Pradesh on 8th; over Assam & Meghalaya & Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim on 8th & 9th.

It also said that Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into more parts of central Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and the entire Northeastern states of India (Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram & Tripura, Assam & Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh).

Further, due to strengthening of southwesterly winds and a cyclonic circulation over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & neighbourhood in lower tropospheric level; fairly widespread to widespread rainfall activity is very likely over Northeastern states and adjoining East India during the next 4-5 days.
