Holuto Ayemi, a Farmer from Nagaland gets IARI Innovative farmer’s award at New Delhi

Kohima, March 04 (NE): Mr. L. Holuto Ayemi of Tichipami village under Zunheboto district of Nagaland got IARI innovative farmer’s award held at Pusa Krishi Vigyan Mela from March 1-3, 2020 at ICAR, New Delhi. The award was given by Shri. Kailash Choudhary, Honorable Minister of state Agriculture and Farmers welfare in presence of Director General, ICAR, Dr. Trilochan Mahapatra, said a press release by Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chaurasia, Sr. Scientist & Head, KVK Zunheboto, Nagaland University, Lumami.

Holuto Ayemi got this award for his innovative Cardamom Spike cutter which is designed and conceptualised by him. The spike cutter is of very low cost and efficient for Cardamom growers. His innovation was recognized earlier by KVK, Zunheboto and was proposed for IARI, Innovative farmer award. His innovation has led a way forward for Cardamom growers for easy harvesting and maximising their production.
