Health Workers not vaccinated for COVID directed to produce negative test result

Kohima, July 14 (NEx): The Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland, has directed Health workers who have not been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine to produce COVID-19 negative test certificate every 15 days while reporting for duties.

The Principal Director, H&FW Dr. Neikhrielie Khimiao directed all the Health workers in both public and private hospitals who have not been vaccinated with COVID-19 vaccine to produce COVID-19 negative test certificate by getting tested every 15 days as and when they report for duties to ensure the safety of patients, co-workers and community.

Khimiao further directed Chief Medical Officer/ Medical Superintendent of all districts to ensure compliance of this order by all Health workers and stated that the District Task Force should ensure that private hospitals also follow the same directions.

H&FW Calls For Priority Vaccination Of Shopkeepers & Vegetables Vendors

The Health & Family Welfare Department stressing on the need to vaccinate vulnerable sections of the society, called upon the shopkeepers & vegetable vendors to get the COVID-19 vaccination on priority.

The Principal Director, H&FW, in pursuant to the High Court Order on June 30th, 2021, stated that shopkeepers and vegetable vendors being vulnerable section of the society, are not only at risk of contracting COVID-19 but also potential spreader of the virus due to the nature of their profession and that the priority for COVID-19 vaccination must be given to these particular section of the community.

Khimiao directed the Chief Medical Officer/ Medical Superintendent of all districts to take necessary steps to ensure fast-track vaccination of the above mentioned section of the community on priority.
