Health Minister Pangnyu reviews the management of COVID-19 pandemic in all districts

Kohima, June 12 (NEx): The Minister of Health & Family Welfare, S. Pangnyu Phom held a video Conference meeting on Saturday, June 12th, 2021 with the District CMOs and MS to review the management of COVID-19 pandemic and vaccination in all the districts.

Pangnyu tweeted, ‘Had a video conference with CMO’s & MS of all the Districts of the State today. Reviewed the respond & management to COVID-19 in both Urban & Rural areas. Also sought their suggestions & grievances to make a strategy in facing the 3rd wave’.

The Health Minister also applauded their selfless service towards humanity and urged all to continue to put our effort to counter this health crises.

A press release from the department informed that the meeting deliberated on the presence of officers and staff in their place of posting, COVID testing, Vaccination- mobilisation and vaccine availability, availability and functioning of equipments in respective districts, deployment of oxygen concentrators, oxygen cylinders and ventilators, availability of ambulances, Coverage of rural areas, sharing information with DTF- transparently providing details of funds and other resources made available.

It also discussed on implementation and progress impact of activities under NHP (World bank), Contribution/Donation received from various NGOs, Companies, Churches and well wishers, requirement of PPE/Mask/Vaccine/Medicine and any equipments, incentives to Nurses and other employees under NHM during isolation etc., grievances or queries from the district and status of manpower under DH, CHC and PHC, the release said.
