Health Dept. To Prioritise Beneficiaries For 2nd Dose Of Covid Vaccine

Kohima, May 13 (NEx): The department of Health & Family Welfare informed that priority is being given to 2nd dose beneficiaries so as to get them fully vaccinated. Thus, the vaccination in each Covid Vaccination Centre (CVC) will go in 70:30 ratios (i.e. 70% booked for 2nd dose & 30% for 1st dose), a press release from the department said.

The department informed the beneficiaries due for 2nd dose of vaccination, to avail it at the earliest, as their due time of 6 weeks (42 days)-8 weeks (56 days) is falling between in the month of May 2021. It also requested other beneficiaries to be responsible citizens to avail their due 2nd dose as and when it comes.

Health department also said that COVID-19 vaccination will continue during the lockdown and requested the due beneficiaries for 2nd dose to carry their registered mobile phone and ID document used while getting their 1st dose, for their verification to police personnel, volunteers etc, so that they don’t face unnecessary harassment while going for vaccination.

Further, it requested all beneficiaries who are going for the vaccination and those who have received their 2nd Dose to follow COVID appropriate behavior.
