No NPCC candidate for 51 Noksen A/C:

Nagaland Pradesh Congress Committee, (NPCC) has decided not to field any candidate for the forthcoming by-election to the 51 Noksen assembly constituency.

NPCC President K Therie in a press release cited an earlier bitter experience during by-election to the 60 Kiphire-Pungro assembly constituency last November. He said the Congress understood that people do not stand for issues and principles they talk about and want and instead, vote against their own faith for money and power.

Therie asserted that Congress is the best party that adhered to expenditure limit fixed by Election Commission of India. While expressing shocked that all the intending candidates are pursuing for NDPP tickets, Therie said there is no soul that can stand on issues and principles.

He also maintained that people are tired of regional parties and BJP in Nagaland as they have exposed themselves of being against stakeholders in securing political solution even after talks had concluded.

He said both parties are also known for corruption which is against the ethics of our religion and customs. In this situation, NPCC President asserted that Congress is the only alternative in the nation and Nagaland and expressed hope that the day come sooner for the party to rebuild the past glory of the people and secure peaceful solution.
