Gravity Goods Ropeway at Punglwa village, Nagaland; 3 hours of transport time reduces to 3 minutes

Peren, September 17 (NE): Gravity Goods Ropeway at Punglwa village, Nagaland is making the life easy for the villagers.

It is reported that earlier it takes 3 hours transport time to carry the goods, now it has been reduced to 3 minutes. Also it saves approximately Rs. 630/- towards labour charges for carrying the materials.

Gravity Goods Ropeway, Collection Centre & Feed mill was inaugurated on Monday, September 16, 2019 at Punglwa Village under Peren District with Chief Operating Officer, World Bank in India, Dr. Hisham Abdo Kahin as the Special guest. The project was supported by North East Rural Livelihood Project (NERLP) under the Ministry of DoNER Govt. of India and aided by the World Bank.

Principal Secretary of Rural Development, Bendangkokba IAS, chaired the programme, while the District Project Manager NERLP, Peren, Ruuvilie Kuotsu spoke on the progress of the project and vote of thanks was proposed by the State Project Co-ordinator NERLP, Peren, Ringsanbo Zeliang.
