Kohima, July 23: The Addl. Director & HoD, Dept. of Animal Husbandry & Vetenary Services, Dr. Temsumeren launched the National Animal Disease Control Programme at the Conference Hall, Nagaland Livestock Development Board in consonance with government of India, Ministry of Fisheries, A.H & Dairying on Tuesday (23 July).
The programme was launched nationwide including all 117 aspirational districts with a view to eradicate Foot & Mouth Disease (FMD) and Brucellosis in the next five years to support livestock rearing farmers.
The threat of FMD and Brucellosis was very common amongst the livestock like cows, bulls, buffaloes, sheep, goats, pigs, etc.
