Govt. of Nagaland issues travel advisory; avoid traveling via Assam on January 8

Kohima/Dimapur, January 7 (NE): In view of the all India Bandh called by the Central Trade Union on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, Limawabang Jamir, Deputy Commissioner, Mokokchung, Government of Nagaland, issued travel advisory today, January 7, 2020.

Commuters traveling from Mokokchung to different parts of the state are hereby advised to avoid traveling via Assam on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, as stated in the travel advisory.

Nine central trade unions have called for a nationwide strike, tomorrow against government’s “disinvestment, privatisation and labour reform policies”: It will be a 24-hour all-India strike that would begin early morning on Wednesday.

Tapan Sen, General Secretary of Centre of Indian Trade Unions (CITU) told that the strike will be valid from the first working shift starting 6 am tomorrow. Over 25 crore employees are expected to participate in Bharat Bandh tomorrow, informed a source.
