Kohima, March 09 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi held a detailed review meeting on the progress of the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) projects for 2-lanning of Kohima-Jessami Road(109.32 KMs), Chakabama- Zunheboto Road(115.53 KMs) and Pfutsero-Phek Road (62.56 KMs) at Vamuzo Memorial Town Hall, Chozuba today.
The Governor advised the Deputy Commissioners of concerned districts to take active interests in resolution of local issues which causes avoidable delay in completion of the projects on time. He also directed the concerned contractors to mobilise adequate resources – men, material and machines to achieve the target, a press release from PRO said.
Governor Ravi exhorted all Agencies/Departments to work as a team and took serious note of lackadaisical approach of some departments for not carrying out the works despite funds deposited in their accounts by NHIDCL 2-3 years ago. He further stated that their inactions have added to un-necessary delay in the progress.
