Kohima, January 12 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi and Chief Minister of Nagaland Neiphiu Rio extended warm Poang Lüm greetings to the people of Nagaland specially to the Chang brothers and sisters.
RN Ravi said that the festival marks the traditional celebrations of self-sufficiency by the Chang Community. It heralds the beginning of cultivation process and seeks blessings for a bountiful harvest.
This significant festival advocates unity and friendship. The festival also aims at passing down the spiritual and cultural richness of the beautiful traditions of Changs to the posterity, Ravi said.
