Governor RN Ravi, Chief Minister Rio Extend Good Friday Greetings

Kohima, April 01 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended warm Good Friday greetings to all the people of Nagaland.

The press release from Raj Bhavan said that the essence of Good Friday is the victory of good over evil. Truth, non-violence, love, forgiveness and grace are some of the significant attributes of Jesus Christ.

On the occasion, Governor Ravi called everyone to reflect and imbibe these essential virtues and encouraged the Youths, that they should above all, assimilate His unblemished attributes.

Further, Ravi said, ‘Christ came to bring His peace to every man and woman. He came as the Prince of Peace. He died on the cross so that humankind can live in peace and harmony. He added, Jesus loves Truth and the gospel says “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” and Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” Peace through non-violence and truth is the greatest gift of Jesus to Humanity, the Governor said.

As we observe this auspicious occasion, Ravi appealed all to follow Covid-19 protocols at all times and wished that the true spirit of Good Friday be with all of us in thoughts and in action.

The Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extending greetings on Good Friday said, “We remember the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ and His unconditional love for us. Light conquered darkness and goodness conquered sin”.

He also wished all Christians a blessed Good Friday and said, ‘May Good Friday 2021 bring new meaning and change in our lives.
