Governor Ravi, CM Rio, Dy. CM Patton extend Wangtsunuo Greetings

Kohima, April 15 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland RN Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio & Deputy Chief Minister Y. Patton extended Wangtsunuo/Wünthsünio greetings to the Yimchunger brothers and sisters and to the people of Nagaland.

The Governor extending warm Wangtsunuo greetings said that it is a time to bond with one another. He said, during the celebrations, Yimchungers exhibit their magnificent traditions and customs wherein the youth familiarise themselves with their roots.

Wangtsunuo means “hut making festival” and it is celebrated to invoke God’s blessings for a plentiful harvest and protection of the crops from natural disasters, Ravi said in a press release.

He called everyone to celebrate this beautiful festival by observing every Covid-19 protocol and wished good health, peace and prosperity to all.

The Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extending Wünthsünio greetings to the Yimchunger community of Nagaland, wished that it bring blessings of good health, peace and prosperity in everyone’s life.

Also, the Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Y. Patton greeted the Yimchunger community on the occasion of Wangtsunuo and said that festival is a time to foster unity and friendship among brothers and sisters, to make it more meaningful. He hoped that the celebration will bring blessings to one and all.

The Dy. CM also sent warmest Wangtsunuo greetings on behalf of the state BJP legislators and further urged the people to celebrate with caution as the 2nd wave of Covid is casting shadow of uncertainty.
