Kohima, July 31 (NEx): The Hon’ble Governor of Nagaland, R.N Ravi extended warm wishes to the people of Nagaland and the Ao community in particular on the occasion of Tsungremong festival.
A message from the Governor reads out – ‘Tsungremong, which is celebrated to mark the end of a bountiful harvest, is a festival of dancing, singing and celebration. It is also a time to give thanks to the Almighty for all His unwavering love and blessings.
In the backdrop of COVID-19 situation, let us celebrate it this year with the needed precautions.
On this auspicious occasion, I call on the Ao community to rededicate oneself with renewed vigour to the peace, progress and prosperity of the State.
I also call upon the youth to take active interest in safeguarding and promoting the rich cultural heritage of the Nagas inherently reflected in such festivals.
May Tsungremong bring happiness and prosperity to our people and strengthen the bonds of inter-tribe brotherhood- unquote.
