Kohima, October 29 (NEx): The Governor of Nagaland, R.N Ravi, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio extended greetings on the occasion of Chaga Gadi, Lamsimnyi.

Governor R.N Ravi extended warm greetings to the Liangmai brothers and sisters and all the people of Nagaland on the occasion of Chaga Gadi, an annual post-harvest festival.

Governor in his greetings message said, ‘It is a joy to know that the celebration honours womenfolk for their enormous contribution to the family. It is also a time when religious barriers are broken and everyone comes together to create harmony in our society.’

Our youths should preserve the beautiful culture displayed in the form of folk songs, dances and traditional sports. They should also understand and appreciate the underlying ancient philosophies.

It is imperative that we celebrate the beautiful festival observing all Covid-19 Protocols this time. May the fundamental essence of the festival such as love, respect, peace and harmony prevail among all sections of the people,’ – unquote.
