Kohima, June 22: Nagaland Governor PB Acharya and his wife Kavita Acharya visited Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home on Saturday (June 22).
Interacting with the children, the Governor called on the children to enrich their knowledge by reading books and studying hard so as to stand on their own when the time comes.
Acharya urged the children to know their goals and work towards achieving it. Stressing on the importance of skill development and skill courses, Acharya stated that a saturation point had arrived in the government sector and encouraged the children to be ready for entrepreneurship and skill related jobs.
Governor Acharya also called on the management to know the need of the society and to guide the children in the right path.
Kavita Acharya, while interacting with the children encouraged them to be supportive and to be helpful to each other.
Director Kohima Orphanage and Destitute Home, Neibanuo while giving a brief history of the home, stated that over the years children who have left the home have managed to stand on their own and supporting themselves well.
