Kohima, September 02 (NEx): Nagaland Governor Shri R.N Ravi, Speaker of Nagaland Legislative Assembly (NLA) Shri Sharingain Longkumer, extended Mongmong greetings to the people of Nagaland specially to Sangtam brothers and sisters.
Governor RN Ravi in his Mongmong greetings message said, ‘this festival is to have a good harvest after the villagers have toiled throughout the whole year. Mongmong is also celebrated as a festival of togetherness and forgiveness.
Cleaning the paths leading to the fields, inter-village roads, village well etc. are carried out during the festival. The villagers also share their produce. Love, unity, forgiveness and care are the wonderful essence of this festival.
