Friendly cricket match held between Army, Assam Rifles & All India Civil Officers at Kohima

Kohima, February 15 (NEx): Contributing towards the objective of ‘Sports Friendly North East’, Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (North) organised a friendly cricket match between Army & Assam Rifles Officers and All India Civil Officers at Kohima on February 14, 2021. The match was played in collaboration with Nagaland Cricket Association (NCA) at Phesama Police Reserve ground.

The civil officers’ team scored mammoth and gave a target of 169 runs in 20 overs. The Assam rifles team played brilliantly chasing down the target with one ball to spare, the PRO informed in a press release.

The team spirit and camaraderie showcased during the event was well appreciated, it said.

Meanwhile, the Secretary of Nagaland Cricket Association Hyunilo Anilo Khing took to twitter and quoted,”All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy”. A frenly match was played betwn All India Service Officers XI & IGAR XI 2day @ New Reserve Police ground in collaboration wid NCA, Khing tweeted.
