Free Medical Camp conducted at Akhoya Village under Mokokchung district

Mokokchung, November 27 (NE): Free Medical Camp conducted at Akhoya Village under Mokokchung district on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

More than 150 patients including children, Women and senior citizen benefited from this medical camp organized by a Social Activist, Member of International Evangelistic Fellowship and an admin of Facebook page ‘Naga Hills Express,’ Imnasangla Longchar.

Medical team including doctors and medical representatives from Jorhat, Assam volunteered and provided free consultation to the patients for various ailments. Medicines and first aid were also distributed to the patients free of cost during the camp.

Akhoya Baptist Arogo, organized the programme at the village council Hall. T. Lanu, Pastor of Akhoya Baptist Church, said that this is the first time a free medical camp is being held in their village. Villagers said that 2019 is a great blessing for them because some were unable to go out of their village for check up & treatment because of financial problems, availed free consultation and medicine through this camp.

The medical team includes Dr Ridip Borah, Consultant Emergency and Critical Care medicine, Dr Bhairab Sonowal, Consultant Surgeon, Dr Bijoy Kutum, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, Dr Jitu Doley, Consultant Paediatrician and medical representatives.

Social Activist, Imnasangla and medical team also carried very memorable moments from this camp, one of that is the consultation given to a 102 year old man.

Speaking to NagalandExpress, Imnasangla referred to Bible verse, Mark 12:31; ‘Love your neighbor as yourself. There is no commandment greater than this.
So let us all be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. Let us encourage one another and build each other up and push for a strong relationship with our neighbours, she added.
