‘Free fuel to emergency service vehicles’ from Reliance Retail outlets in Nagaland

Dimapur, March 31 (NE): Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) will be providing free fuel under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to emergency medical service vehicles here at Nagaland as per a Government of Nagaland (GoN) notification on March Thirty.

It is found that there is only one Reliance petrol station at Dimapur currently, surprisingly, Nagaland fuel outlet details are not reflected in its official website (www.reliancepetroleum.com).

Yet, as per the Government notification it further said the free fuel services comes with various conditions:

-For carrying Covid19 patients to & from designated quarantine and dedicated Covid19 Hospitals in the state or isolation facilities.

-For carrying people who have been advised to be quarantined at designated quarantine or isolation facilities.

-Free fuel will be issued by Reliance Retail Outlets (RRO) only.

-Free fuel will be issued only to drivers/crew on production of authorization letters issued by:

– District administration official identified by Deputy Commissioner of the said district.

– CMO of concern district.

– District Police administration.

The authorization letters will be valid for one time and shall be retained at the said RRO. The Government will issue authorization letter in duplicate (original for RRO and duplicate for office records).

-The fuel quantity capped is at fifty litres maximum per vehicle in a day.

This offer will come as a relief to some extent especially when the world is facing Covid19 pandemic scare as declared by WHO even at Nagaland. The offer period started on March 30, 2020 till April 14, 2020, added the notification.
