First Inter School Beat Contest held at IMC Hall, Dimapur today

Dimapur, August 17: The first Inter School Beat Contest was held under the banner of Hope Academy School, Dimapur at Imliyanger Memorial Centre (IMC) Hall, Fellowship Colony, Dimapur, today (17th August).

Theja Meru, Adviser, TaFMA, Government of Nagaland was the special guest.

The program was organized as “Melomania 2019” on a day long event with seven schools participating for the contest. It was a success because of the support and sponsors of a number of individuals and organizations.

The Delhi Public School (DPS), Dimapur was announced as the winner.

First Runners up and Viewers Choice Award went to Christain Higher Secondary School (CHSS), Dimapur.

Various individual prizes were also given as follows:

Best Vocalist – Lanuwapang Jamir, DPS.

Beat Bassist- Imlichuba A Pongen, CHSS

Best Guitarist-Lanusunep Longchar, St. Mary’s Higher Secondary School (SMHSS), Dimapur.

Best Drummer – Thangboign Haolai, SMHSS.

Most Promising Artist – Benjamin Rongpi, Bethesda Higher Secondary School, Dimapur.
