Dimapur, October 24 (NEx): Wokha district in Nagaland recorded first COVID death today. The district registered it’s first COVID death as a 38-year old male patient passed away this morning in the District COVID Hospital, Wokha.
A 38- year old male patient was tested positive for COVID-19 in the district hospital Wokha through TrueNat machine on October 22, 2020. Following which, a confirmatory test was also conducted and the result turned postive for COVID-19.
Meanwhile, the COVID-19 bulletin issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department, Government of Nagaland on Friday informed that there is only one active COVID case in Wokha District, and on the severity of the symptom, he was moderate under oxygen support.
Till date, Wokha has reported a total of 27 COVID positive cases. Out of which, 26 patients have already recovered, while one patient succumbed to COVID, as per the COVID-19 daily bulletin. At present, there is no active COVID case in the district.
