Dimapur, November 08 (NEx): Tuensang District in Nagaland reported its first COVID-19 death on Saturday, November 07, 2020 informed Deputy Commissioner Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS.
DC Tuensang in a press release stated that according to a report received from the Chief Medical Officer Tuensang on Saturday, one person who died on Friday, November 6, 2020 was tested positive for COVID-19 by Rapid Antigen Test after death on November 7, 2020.
The dead body was cremated following all safety protocols, also, all contacts has been traced and necessary steps has been taken, informed the DC Tuensang.
Meanwhile, Nagaland Health Minister S Pangnyu Phom informed about one COVID positive case reported in Tuensang District on Sunday. With this, the total number of confirmed positive cases in the district reached 155.
While 141 patients have already recovered from COVID-19 in the district, the number of active COVID positive cases now stands at 13, the DC added.
