Kohima, December 11 (NEx): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) temporarily suspended the democratic indefinite agitation and set January 10th, 2021 as the deadline for the cabinet to fulfil it’s charter of demands regarding NSSB & NPSC.
The press release from ENSF today said that after thorough deliberation and serious discussion, the house unanimously adopted a resolution in the emergency Presidential meeting which was held at Tuensang Headquarter.
The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) along with its six (6) federating units vis-a-vis Confederation of Chang Students’ Union (CCSU), Khaimniungan Students’ Union (KSU), Konyak Students’ Union (KSU), Phom Students’ Conference (PSC), United Sangtam Students’ Conference and Yimchunger Akheru Arih-Ako (YAA), resolved to consider the appeal letter from cabinet sub- committee P&AR Department dated December 07, 2020.
Consequent upon the letter received from the Cabinet Sub-Committee P&AR, the ENSF decided to temporarily suspend its agitation, it said.
The ENSF further set the deadline for the cabinet to fulfil the ENSF charter of demands (NSSB & NPSC) before January 10th, 2021, failing which, the house unanimously resolved to resume its agitation in a more extreme form even up to the extent of taking law and order situation into its hand, said the release.
Earlier on November 18, 2020, the ENSF served seven days ultimatum to the State government to fulfill its demands in regards to NSSB & NPSC, which went unheeded and the Federation called for an indefinite democratic protest from November 30, 2020.
