ENSF objects the interference of non indigenous students’ organizations in the internal affairs of Nagaland

Kohima, March 02 (NE): The Eastern Naga Students’ Federation (ENSF) writes to Chief Minister in Objection against unwarranted and unwanted interference by the non indigenous students’ organisations of Nagaland in the internal affairs of the state and call for consultative meeting with stakeholders of Nagaland on matters relating to Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) before any final decision.

A letter dated March 2, 2020 stated that the ENSF highly object the interference by non indigenous students’ organizations in the internal affairs of Nagaland and that the state government is accountable and answerable only to the people of Nagaland.

ENSF, in the letter, appreciates NSF’s genuine demands and considering it’s future implications affecting lives, interests and careers of students and educated unemployed youths of Nagaland, requested the state government to call for a consultative meeting with all the stakeholders of Nagaland positively before any final decision is taken.

Earlier, the Naga Students’ Federation (NSF) served a 15 days ultimatum to the Nagaland Government to set up the Nagaland Staff Selection Board (NSSB) on February 22, 2020. Considering rampant practice of backdoor appointments in all Government Departments, NSF had written a letter addressed to the Chief Minister of Nagaland along with the signatures of the Presidents of the federating units and sub-ordinate bodies of NSF.

It further states that, the ENSF shall not accept in toto whatever decision is taken by the state government regarding NSSB without prior consultation with the stakeholders of Nagaland including ENSF.
