Kohima, February 24 (NEx): The Eastern Nagaland Peoples’ Organisation (ENPO) today celebrated its Silver Jubilee under the theme “Honouring & Celebrating Glorious Years” at Tobu Town in Mon district with Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio as the Chief Guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio congratulated ENPO and citizens of eastern part of Nagaland on the occasion of their silver jubilee. Rio said the jubilee is a significant landmark and the leaders who have guided the Organisation thus far need to be commended. Rio said that even as we celebrate the crossing of an important milestone, it is also an occasion for us to look back and introspect on the past decades and emphasize our weakness and move forward.
Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton congratulated ENPO on completing 25 years. Over the years it has played a remarkable role in bettering lives and it was an absolute honour for me to be a part of the celebration at Tobu Town today and share my thoughts. My best wishes for all future endeavours, said Deputy CM.
‘Eastern Nagaland is changing under the leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio and we are all witnessing it. The PDA Govt is committed to the region and the state. I urge ENPO to remain united and continue to support our Chief Minister to fulfil our aspirations of a better Nagaland,’ Patton said.
Health and Family Welfare Minister, S Pangnyu Phom, Advisor Fire & Emergency Services, Phowang Konyak along with others were special guests who spoke on the occasion.
