DYRS Organises Nagaland Virtual Football Skill Competition

Kohima, July 11 (NEx): The Department of Youth Resources and Sports (DYRS) is organising a virtual football skill competition for both boys and girls, in celebration of 75th Year of India’s Independence (Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav) programme from 1st July to 14 August, 2021.

According to a press release from the directorate of YRS, the online virtual competition aims to provide platform for talented footballers and freestylers to show their skills virtually. It is an event which encourages competitive opportunity and platform for players who are missing the pitch actions for many months.

The winners for both categories will be ₹10,000 for the first position, runners up will get ₹ 7,000, and ₹5000 for third position. Other awards includes highest viewed video on YouTube and youngest contestant to be awarded ₹1000 each.

The video submission will begin from July 11th onwards and last date of submission is on August 10th, 2021. The winners of the competition will be announced on August 15th, 2021, the department informed.

In order to take part, the participants will have to send their insane workout videos showing their tricks and skillful freestyle manoeuvres and mail it to or whatsapp the document at 9916580774 along with name, age and contact.

Participants are limited to people from Nagaland state only. It also informed that the Videos will be uploaded in YouTube channel ‘Dept. of Youth Resources and Sports Nagaland’ with a time duration of two minutes for each participant.

The result of the competition will be decided by a jury of board from football coaches, veteran players basing on the techniques, execution, skills, accuracy, tricks and creativity, the department informed.
