Kohima, February 06 (NEx): The Deputy Chief Minister of Nagaland, Y. Patton while appreciating the efforts of the police force pointed out that a serious area of concern in Police force is the presence of some drug addicts and alcoholic Personnel. He called for a comprehensive legal mechanism to further strengthen the service jurisprudence to screen out such irresponsible personnel from the service in the police force.
The Dy. CM said this while addressing the 49th General conference of Nagaland Police Service Association (NPSA), held on February 05, 2021 at Rhododendron Hall, Police complex, Chumukedima as a Special Guest.
He further stressed that Drug addicts and those personnel performing duties under the influence of alcohol invariably tarnish the hard earned good image of the entire police force and also the officer concern under whose command any such delinquent personnel is deployed.
Meanwhile, the Dy. CM also said, “Policing is a stressful job and over the years the challenges have only increased, yet our Police Force continue to deliver the duties unblemished. We’re all grateful to them for the dedication. May the Force and the Association continue to deliver their best!”- unquote.
1/3: Sharing thoughts with the members of our Police Force is always an opportunity I look forward to. It was an honour for me to participate in the 49th General Conference of NPSA today in Dimapur. The conferences have been a source of great insights that touches everyone. pic.twitter.com/hIwerW2jOV
