Kohima, December 03 (NEx): The Department of School Education (DoSE) on Thursday informed about the preparation of a database of Immigrant/ Emigrant Labourers in regards to the State of Nagaland, to facilitate admissions for children of Immigrant (in-migrant) and Emigrant (out-migrant) Labourers.
The Principal Director Shanavas C, IAS, through a public notice dated December 3, requested all concerned to register details of such Labourers in any of the nearby Govt. Schools (GPS/GMS/GHS/GHSS) during the period from December 4th to 22nd, 2020.
He also directed all Govt. Schools in the State to give admission to any child who has recently returned back to Nagaland without asking for any other documents except, some identity proof. Information provided by the Child’s Parents will be assumed to be correct and taken as such for giving admission to the child in the relevant class in his/her neighbourhood Govt. School, he added.
Further, the PD also requested Public Leaders, NGOs and Well-wishers to advise all Immigrant/ Emigrant Labourers of their localities to get them registered at nearby Govt. Schools and assist the department in ensuring that all eligible children continue studies without any hindrance.
