DoSE To Commence Phase-I Broadcast Of Video & Audio Lessons From July 19th

Kohima, July 12 (NEx): The Directorate of School Education notified that the Phase-I Broadcast of Video and Audio lessons for students of Classes I to IV through Doordarshan Kohima, All India Radio Kohima, Youtube Channel (DoSE Nagaland) and Facebook (School Education, Nagaland) will commence from July 19th, 2021.

The Principal Director of School Education in a notification on July 12th, directed the Heads of all Schools (Both Govt. & Private) to sensitize parents of students studying in their school about the various modes of broadcast to access it as per their convenience.

It also directed the Heads of Govt. Schools to effectively utilize all kinds of resources available at schools to ensure that the benefits of the broadcast reach all sections of the society, and that services of teachers are utilized to supplement the Tele/Radio Online Education programme. They are also to maintain data of students accessing the various modes of broadcast and furnish it as and when asked for.

Further, Heads of Govt. Schools of a particular area/region shall coordinate and share resources among their schools.

Also, the notification said that all DEOs/Sr. SDEOs/SDEOs in coordination with the District Administration, School Authorities, Village Education Committees, NGOs, Students Unions, Church Bodies and Well-wishers shall make arrangements for making best use of community resources for the benefit of students who do not have access to Television/ Computer/ Smartphone/Radio at home.

The department also notified that the broadcast for students of Classes V to XII will commence shortly and till such time, teachers shall advise students to make use of the Video lessons broadcasted in the year 2020 which are available at Department’s Youtube Channel and Facebook page.

It also notified to take note that the sign language interpretation has been incorporated in the video broadcast for the benefit of children with disabilities.
