DoSE notifies pre-primary schools to register within 15 days

Individuals/Societies/Organizations running Private Schools including Pre-Primary Schools without obtaining Permission from the Department of School Education, Nagaland were directed to close down their schools

Kohima, July 02 (NEx): The Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas C IAS, notified that Individuals/Societies/Organizations running Private Schools including Pre-Primary Schools without obtaining Permission from the Department of School Education, Nagaland were directed to close down their schools immediately on March 17th, 2020.

Shanavas said that it is brought to the notice of the department that few individuals/societies/organizations are still running schools without obtaining prior permission from the Department of School Education, Nagaland.

The department informed that a one-time opportunity is given to all Individuals/Societies/Organizations running Pre-Primary Schools without the Permission of the Department of School Education, Nagaland to apply for Permission in the prescribed format made available at https://education.nagaland.gov.in within 15(fifteen) days from the date of issue of this notification. No application will be accepted for granting of Ex post facto permission to Pre-Primary Schools after the expiry of this grace period, it said.

Further, this onetime measure is applicable only to Pre-Primary Schools and stringent punitive measures will be initiated against those running other levels of schools without prior permission from the department, the notification stated.
