Kohima, December 02 (NEx): The Directorate of School Education Nagaland directed teachers serving in all Govt. Schools throughout the State to register for the ‘Gurushala’ Teacher Training, and also the Head of Institutions are to ensure that minimum 75% of teachers serving in their schools register for the Programme.
The Principal Director of School Education, Shanavas C IAS in a notification on December 02, informed that the ‘Pratham Education Foundation’ has been implementing a free of cost online teacher training and professional development initiative ‘Gurushala’ funded by Vodafone Foundation and Indus Towers Ltd.
The initiative aims to build capacity and skills of school teachers to effectively use digital technology so as to positively impact the learning levels of students. For this purpose, the ‘Gurushala’ team organizes regular online trainings, workshops, subject expert sessions and competitions based on the needs and requirements of States and teachers, the PD informed.
Further, they will be preparing a pre-training communication plan with teachers that can align with their immediate requirements on the basis of information provided during the registration process, he added.
The PD directed all teachers serving in government schools to get themselves registered for the ‘Gurushala’ training. He also directed the Head of Institutions of all Govt. Schools to ensure that a minimum of 75 % of teachers serving in their schools register for the Programme without fail.
Shanavas also informed that the teachers can register through the ‘Gurushala Teacher Training’ link provided at the Teachers’ APP or at DoSE Online Education Services Portal (https://dosenl.in) during the period from December 03-22, 2020.
